PresentFuture ➤ For Artists ➤ Publishing

Interviews - Texts & essays - Presentations & lectures - Artist’s book - Monographic & thematic publications

In academic circles is often said that if you don’t publish, you perish. This is all the more true for visual artists and designers. Publishing your thoughts and works may well be the most relevant and cost-effective way to make others aware of you, to expand your influence and to enlarge your network. Publishing can even become an artistic goal on its own.

But publishing should be a pleasure, not a pressure. It is a time-consuming process that demands a whole series of tough decisions in combination with specific knowledge and resources. Therefore, to have available that great text or necessary publication is often thought about and almost as often postponed.

It can start small, with a professional interview or a third-party text on your own website, to contextualize your practice. Or with a first small publication (printed or digital) focusing on a particular phase of your artistic development, as a way for others to reflect and interact with you. It can grow bigger, resulting in a monographic publication in which you like to document and investigate a larger aspect of your oeuvre. You may even consider to opt for paper as a challenging exhibition context and develop new work within the dynamics of an artist’s book.

Publishing is taking the stage, to make yourself being heard in order to inspire and to aim for interaction and reflection. From being invited to give a public presentation to capturing your entire oeuvre, we have the experience and know-how to assist you, from concept till distribution.
